Objectives
Primary objective : to evaluate the contribution of serum pNFH and NFL neurofilament assays in the diagnosis of ALS in a selected population of patients with progressive motor neuron disease with no definite diagnosis.
Secondary objectives :
1. To evaluate the contribution of the combined pNFH and NFL neurofilament assay in serum versus the pNFH and NFL assay alone in the diagnosis of ALS in a selected population of patients with progressive motor neuron disease without a definitive diagnosis.
2. Evaluate the contribution of the combined pNFH and NFL neurofilament assay in serum versus the clinical impression of the expert neurologist in an ALS center.
